Institute of Fashion Designing, after which he got a job as a designer at departmental store, Roopam. After gaining the experience and the technical expertise, he decided to enter the film industry.

Akshay Kumar was the first artist he designed for. He was Rocky`s launch pad in Bollywood. Soon he started getting several inquiries to design costumes for actresses. To keep up with his orders he set up a small-scale manufacturing unit. Rocky S saluted the hottest fabric of the season- denim marking the `Primitive` Collection. His denim jeans, skirts and shirts were wild and edgy, in colours like clay, slate, midnight blue and indigo and had effects like that of distressed denim, razored, shredded, ombre dyed, patch-worked, asymmetric, embroidered and beaded. These were teamed with funky street style t-shirts and white shirts. The unfinished hems frayed edges, careless lace trimmings and suede fringes of the shirts added to the untamed and wild look. There was ample use of leather tassels and broad leather tie-up belts with embellishments like embroideried square, copper sequins and mirrors as accessories.

Designer Rocky S started off with fun and frolic displaying his creation Goth inspired Street Vamp with attitude. Rocky S is known for his funky and trendy styles and that was the highlight of his collection. All the current trends were there in spades: cut off pants on men and women; asymmetrical hemlines with 60`s style graphic prints, streamlined cargos and Indian embroidery. Good looking linens, played against high quality synthetics worked with exciting surface treatments. The main colour palette was somber grey and black with splashes of electric orange and pink.

Rocky S is known for giving young, vibrant and full of life collection and so was this year`s collection which was a heady mix of influences ranging from the feral west, Indian melas, wild clubs of New York. His collection included leather jackets with contemporary strapped up detailing, layered gold lame skirts, flared striped pants, trendy overprinted shirts, miniscule hot pants, and flirty sensuous dresses. These were embellished with wacky overprints, rhinestones in colours like magenta, red and orange, feather fringes and fur. The colours were warm, and included reds, maroons, browns and plenty of gold. The mens wear was equally hot, with jackets made of Indian prints bearing sporty detailing, well fitted pants and a range of shirts.

The theme of the Collection was "Lovely Lolitas". His collection this year wasstraight out of a fantasy fairytale with "the lovely lolita" as the lead. It was inspired by the intuitive killer instinct of a woman. A colour palette of neutrals with deep pastels, varied hues of pink and champagne, cherry reds and forest greens all kissed with gold. Embellished with clear crystals, stones and polished pearls with a lot of lace accents and dimensional flowers, the look was "softly" opulent. Fabrics were mainly soft and flowing, like georgette and chiffon used in combination with rich weaves, prints and faux fur. The silhouettes were easy and body flattering, with emphasis on styling and surface texturing. Playing with layers and fabric the whole "feel" was innocently beautiful and sexy at the same time. It had an element of tease and a hint of sensuality masked with innocence.
